They are Zenfone 4 , Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6. The phones comes with exciting price tag and  specifications. Before going to rooting lesson, we can take a quick look into the specifications of Asus Zenfone 4.


Asus Zenfone 4 comes with 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual core processor backed by 1GB RAM which gives a superb performance in multitasking. It is also powered by PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 GPU for ultimate gaming experience. It has an internal memory of  8GB and external memory up to 64GB. The device runs on Android jelly bean 4.3 with customized Zen UI by Asus. The phone has a 5MP rear camera which gives decent images. Steps for rooting Asus Zenfone 4

4) Extract  Root_Zenfone_4_T001.rar. Extracted file must be in the same folder.

5) Go to your phone's setting and turn on USB debugging mode

6) Turn off your device

7) Switch on your device in "DROIDBOOT" mode. ( By holding  Power button+volume up+Volume down same time without any difference).

8) Plug your Zenfone 4 to PC. Make sure that on screen "DROIDBOOT" showing "Ready to Download" message.

9) In PC open the folder which extracted the zip. Click on OPEN.CMD

10) Then a command prompt window opens,
 then type : fastboot flash update root_zenfone4_v4.2.0.zip

11) Then press enter and wait for processing.

12) Then your Asus Zenfone 4 is successfully rooted


Now your Asus Zenfone 4 is successfully rooted. Then, if you check your phone application list you can see an app called "Superuser". This app you  grant root permissions to apps.
