A happy news for Xolo Q1000 opus users.Xolo rolled out Andorid 4.2.2 KitKat update for Xolo Q1000 opus. However update is not available as an OTA (over the air), users had to manually download it from Xolo website.But now Xolo has not released KitKat update for devices costlier than Q1000 opus.
The new Android Kitkat update has several interesting features including improved Google Now, a new immersive mode that hides navigation,option to select Hangouts as main SMS/ MMS app, cloud-print support, new improved caller id and performance improvement.
You automatically get update notification on your phone when an update is available. Then you had to download the update manually.

Steps for updating your Xolo Q1000 Opus to Android 4.4.2 KitKat
1) Download the update.zip from this link. Do not unzip the file.
2) Connect your phone to the computer through USB cable.Wait for the computer to detect the phone.
3) When USB notification appears in the notification tray, select the option USB Connected.
4) Then a green Android icon appears on the screen. Select the option Turn on USB storage.Then the green Android icon turns orange,you now successfully activated your phone as a storage device.
4) Then copy the downloaded update.zip file to your phone memory card.
5) From your phone select Turn of USB storage.
6) Go to your phone and "Xolo Care" app.
7) In "UPDATE" tab. Click "check for software update"
6) On the next screen, click "check for updates"
7) Then click "continue"
8) Now your phone automatically reboots and instal the update
