HTC's presence in  the budget Smartphone segment is  very less when compared to its rivals Samsung and Nokia. HTC made lots of efforts to focus on emerging market trends. But the company wasn't able to register its presence much. But now HTC is here to conquer the budget Smartphone segment with their new phone HTC Desire 310.

Performance

HTC Desire 310 is a budget Smartphone from HTC with amazing specifications and pricing. HTC Desire 310 is powered by  MediaTek MT6582M 1.3GHz quad core processor along with 512MB of RAM and Mali-400MP graphics which provide decent speed and performance. But the European version of the phone has 1GB  RAM. The phone is a good graphic performer with Mali 400MP GPU. Desire 310 plays games like Temple Run 2 and Subway Surfers without any lag. But there is some lag in playing graphically intense game like Asphalt 8. But the internal memory of the phone is  4GB with only 2.02GB is available for use. So it prevents installation of big games which drains a lot of memory. It supports expandable memory up to 32GB.

Camera

HTC Desire 310 is equipped with a 5 mega pixel rear snapper and a VGA camera in front. The cam is fixed focus and didn't have LED flash. The images taken in daylight are average. There is lots of noise in indoor pictures. The camera capture video with 1080p Full HD recording. But the video quality is not good which make HD recording pointless.

Display

The device is equipped with 4.5-inch 854 x 480p FWVGA display. The display is just average with poor viewing angle and brightness. But at this price tag  from HTC this is acceptable.

User interface

Desire 310 runs on Android 4.2.2 jelly bean with HTC Sense 5.1 interfaces. The phone features BlinkFeed which shows, news and social updates on the home screen. The phone is preloaded with third party apps like Polaris office 5 office suite, We chat etc.

Battery

The dual SIM phone is equipped with 2000 mAh battery, the company claims battery life of standby time of up to 852 hours and talk time of up to 11 hours.

Verdict

Coming with a price tag of  rupees 11,700/- this is a good performer from HTC. But it fails when competing with its rivals like MOTO G and Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini. MOTO G is great performer when comparing to Desire 310.
